We, the fans of the New Orleans Saints, Fans of the NFL, fans of sports in general, and people who advocate fairness in any career DEMAND that Roger Goodell release the rumoured "Ledger" and any other evidence partaining to the "Bounty Scandal" that has been charged to members of the New Orleans Saints organization. Mr. Goodell has handed out suspensions to the coaching staff and players, taken draft picks, and fined the organization $500,000. These accusations have tarnished the reputation of the players, coaches, and the entire organization beyond any repair. How can this man hammer out such harsh penalties without providing the bulk of the evidence that Mr. Goodell claims to have. The question we collectively have is this: If this evidence is so solid, and a sure indictment of the charges, why hasn't this been put out? Don't the accused individuals deserve to know the reasons why they have been punished? Is it really completely out of the question to ask for absolute proof as to why this team is being so severely punished, or is it that Mr. Goodell doesn't actually have the proof he so claims to have, and he is basing his accusations merely on heresay? We are not asking for leniency or any special privledges, we, as fans of the National Football league, are only asking for proof. We invest good money into the league. We pay for tickets to see the games live, we purchase merchandise to show our support for our teams, and we watch the games on television, providing sponsors with reasons in investing into the National Football League. We want to remind Mr. Goodell that the league is NOTHING without our support. Mr. Goodell, our demands are simple: Release any and all evidence partaining to the New Orleans Saints' Bounty Scandal including, but not limited to the rumoured 1,000 page Ledger, UNALTERED, UNEDITED, and ORIGINAL, meaning that NONE of the pages have been tampered with or changed to solidify the League's arguement against the New Orleans Saints' Organization. (*) Release the names of the individuals or groups of individuals who alerted the NFL of the bounty scandal, so that we may see what their motives are, if there are any, and to see if they are not only telling the truth, but to see if their intentions are really for putting a stop to the so called "Bounty" program, or if it is for revenge or any other personal gain (*) This demand MUST be met, the second, although relevant, is not required because this may cause some sort of unneccesary attention to the "whistle-blower" that we do not condone. If our demands are failed to be met, or there is no furthur evidence, and the rumoured "Ledger" was a lie, we have a seperate set of demands that are to be met: Mr. Goodell must issue a public apology to: The coaches, players, organization, and fans of the New Orleans Saints. Mr. Goodell must be removed from his position immediatly The suspensions of all coaches, staff, GM, and players must be lifted. (excluding Mr. Greg Williams for his comments made before the playoff game between the San Francisco 49ers) High draft picks must be given to the New Orleans Saints, along with their original draft picks for the 2013 NFL draft, to compensate for the lack of draft picks in 2012. The Superbowl must return to New Orleans in the near future. If our first set of demands are not met, and our second demands are ignored, we, the signers of this petiton are prepared to do the following: Cease watching any live NFL games on TV, limiting ourselves to radio coverage of all NFL games. Continue to watch any Highlights on third party websites Cease to purchase any merchandise that profits will make its way to the NFL. Purchase our tickets from third-party providers (i.e. StubHub, eBay, craigslist, etc.) Continue to dissuade any fans of the National Football League from supporting anything that profits the Nation Football League directly, and any support of a Team will go directly to said team, and never to the National Football League. (i.e. Never purchasing merchandise from the NFLshop or NFLshop.com, and getting our merchandise from other sources, without breaking any copyright laws) We do not wish for it to come down to this, because we love the sport of Football, we love our teams, and we wish to continue to support them. However, we, the signers of this petition cannot support a League that wishes to provide punishment after punishment without any sort of decent evidence. Mr. Goodell, we would like to remind you once more, that the National Football League is NOTHING without the fans who constantly invest money into this sport, do not force us to take said actions against the League, you will regret this.
