The petition

Sir, madam,

As most other F1 admirers in the world, I have observed lately that McLaren's behavior towards Fernando Alonso was reprehensible. He seems to have been the object of unfair treatments, and moreover, the victim of what appears to be a true conspiracy.
He has been accused of being paranoid, of not being a good loser, of being egomaniac; but in Hungary we all have seen that his fears were nothing but legitimate.
This is sad to witness such events in sports. This man deserves respect, he is a two-times World Champion. He is not an object, purchased to be emptied of his essence in order to create a monster of perfection -needless to mention who this person is.
I highly hope this is as obvious to you as it is to me. I, and a large number of other F1 admirers want to give our full support to Fernando Alonso and ask for a fair treatment, for the consideration of his rank as a sportsman and as one of the greatest F1 pilots of all times.
All the recent actions have created a heavy atmosphere, and it might put an end to the interest of many people in this sport. This would be sad. And you are the only ones who can change it. Be fair to him. He deserves it. Don't ruin his spirit.
If his desire is to leave McLaren, then leave him be. We will support him, regardless of the team he'll choose to join.

Thank you.
