Vern Meilleur | My name is Vern Meilleur I am a band member of Peguis First Nation. I support the KI 6 and think that it is apauling that the Government of Canada, and the Province of Ontario are acting like prostitutes for Platinex. As for Platinex "The First Nations of Canada are WATCHING"

Rochelle Starr | It's not a surprise that the crown isn't keeping their promise's to the Aborignal people, nor is it a surprise that the crown's honor isn't being upheld, nor is it a surprise that the KI First Nation was not consulted by the platinex mining Inc. This is pretty typical behavior of the crown, the province and the federal government - their lack of action to step in and ensure that the constitutionally entrenched rights , sec. 35 are being protected. They have gone too far, putting chief anc council in jail for protecting thier land, and something must be done, actions must be taken. The Oka crisis must have slipped thier minds, and it is up to the united Indians of North America to remind the government of who we are, what we are capable of, and that we are serious!

Ringo | It's not right to put a Chief & Council in jail..it should have not happened in the first place..if it was a Mayor & council I don't think they would have been put in jail..If I was a grand chief I wouldn't let prospectors roam around in traditional lands and let them poison future generations!!

| 80 | Laurie Rogers | This is a complete and utter disgrace! I can not believe that we are supposed to be living ain a democratic society, when clearly this is such not the case, the fact that racism still exists truly sickens me. As a "Canadian", I'm disgusted with this behaviour and that it is condoned by our "government".

Kimberley Wolfe | Consultation with First Nations as set out by the Supreme Court should not just be a matter of discussion sessions. The government should not be allowed to simply "go through the motions". Indeed there is no point to consultation if the conclusion to same has already been reached. The decision to go ahead with a project should not be made prior to engaging in consultation. Consultation must have an effect on the very decision to approve or deny a proposed development project. Anything short of that is a ruse.
