Comments: A grave injustice was done to John O'Hara. The 2nd Department Grievance Committee decision recommending his reinstatement as an attorney, adopted by the 2nd Department Appellate Division, speaks volumes that his three prosecutions were politically based by the District Attorney. A pardon is justice in this matter.

Comments: I read his story and was astonished at how deep the corruption goes into the Brooklyn Court System. My family is dealing with a very similar situation in regards to our mother's guardianship case. The blatant corruption is very disheartening. Especially, after reading that this could happen to a Judge. Our mother's case has been in Judge Betsy Barros's chambers awaiting her signature on subpoena's and a hearing date sine 8/31/12. My brother & I are petitioning for permanent guardianship of our 84 yr. Old mother. Our mother was diagnosed with Dementia/ onset Alzhemer's besides having a bad fall causing her to be left with stroke like symptoms. She is unable to talk or write. She was originally diagnosed with the Deementia in 2008. The major fall she had causing the cerebral vascular bleed occurred in 2009. Our father then past away in 12/2010 from the side effects of chemotherapy due to bladder cancer. Our unemployed sister that lived with our parents had taken our mother in May of 2011 to attorney Frank Seddio's office to have our mother turn over power of attorney to her. Along with changing our mother's health care proxy to her. We were kept away from our mother for several months. This sister blocked all our telephone #'s. She would call the police every time we attempted to visit our Mother. We had gotten APS Involved, but, once Frank Seddio had made a phone call to them all of a sudden they stopped proceeding with guardianship on our behalf. We then retained an attorney. She is doing the best she can, but, her hands are tied at this point. There is so much more to the story. I know this space was meant for a comment, but, the frustration level outpours every time we start writing, or talking about the amount of corruption we have fell victim to in the Brooklyn Court System.

Comments: This case begs for the intervention of someone with the integrity to undo the damage of a politically motivated case of selective prosecution. By a DA who is guilty of the very "crime" he prosecuted Mr. O'Hara for.
