| 16 | Jennifer Forde | The people that work at the BBC and especially BBC jam want to provide a service for children. For all children. They're not just picking sections of society they can make money from. They want to provide for everyone. The fact that we have a public service that (working with the private sector) can do this is something to be celebrated. The fact that the private sector are screaming like spoilt children about it is also something to be celebrated. The BBC are obviously still a force to be reckoned with and one of the last public services to be proud of. |
| 17 | Katy Leech | This is a fantastic resource ththat provides free education to children all over the UK who may not otherwise have the chance to use this sort of resource. It is available in Welsh and galic and accessible to children with sight and hearing difficulties. It also provides learning resources to children with learning disabilities. No other site provides resources for these kids. It is criminal that this should have been taken down when these are the children who will be hardest hit. |
| 18 | LYNNE HILL | This is a fantastic resource for children and should be made available again |

| 34 | Derek | A shocking decision. Private companies scared of a little competition. Not everything is about money! |
| 35 | Kate Carr | What a fantastic public service this was. This project is exactly the sort of thing the BBC should be doing - shame on those who have caused it to be pulled. |

| 37 | Helen Hutchinson | Shutting down jam was a tragic example of the increasingly privatisation of education, of putting the commercial producers's interests above genuine public interest. How can it be truly be in the public interest to shut down a fantastic free online learning resource open to all?
The big losers are the children. But it seems as long as the big bullying businesses are happy, who cares about them and their education? |
| 38 | Anonymous | Having worked on jam for the past year, I am very saddened and frustrated by the decision to suspend the service. I hope that some of the content will at least see the light of day at some point in the future. It really was fantastic content and it's deeply saddening that the children of Britain will be denied the right to access it. |

| 40 | Rebecca Shakespeare | After seeing this resource at the GA Conference, it is a disgrace that the BBC have withdrawn access to it. As a teacher resources like this engage with pupils and help them to develop understanding about countries they cannot comprehend. For once can the BBC give us what we want? |

| 42 | Pam Shurmer-Smith | Back in the 1950s the educational content of the children's service of the BBC is undoubtedly what gave me the confidence to know that I could rise above "my station". This is a tragedy and a crime. |

| 45 | hannah merrick | I have witnessed jam in action at the GA conference, and think its a disgrace not to be able to access it. As a PGCE student I am trying to make geography more relevant to younger people, through using more up to date material, how can I do this when its not been made available! |
| 46 | JAMES WHITE | This should be mae available to all. |

| 48 | John Mitchell | As a teacher I welcomed this initiative and looked forward to the expanding content.
Once again its money before kids and education. |
