| 101 | Pikey | I`m outraged and saddened,it`s a ridiculous example from a `nanny` government full of spin and lies. |
| 102 | Justin Davin-Smith | This Goldsmiths Research Officer wholeheartedly supports the campaign to halt the deportation of Hicham Yezza. Government security forces intimidating, arresting and silencing academics? It sounds all too horribly familiar. Some wheels aren't meant to turn. |
| 103 | lilashana | I am Lilly Evans, UK citizen and deeply concerned that this is happening in our midsts. |

| 107 | Sara Motta | I fully support the petition against this arbritrary, unfounded and clearly politically motivated detention and threatened deportation. Today, we had a wonderful turnout to the demonstration for academic freedom and the release of Hicham at the University of Nottingham. Many of Hicham's colleagues were also out in support with people from all over the country, and a cross- section of the university community. |

| 118 | Antti Kauppinen | I'm happy to virtually sign this petition, and second the call for a more formal online effort. The behaviour and prejudice the authorities have displayed in this case is shameful, and of concern to academics everywhere. |

| 124 | Jens S. Sörensen | I have only read about this case which is now receiving international attention within the academic commmunity. I think it is of utmost importance that academics (not only in Britain but in Europe generally) speak up to defend the freedom of the universities, of research and independent inquiry. The case seems to have been poorly handled by the university and therefore become an example of how the values of the university as an institution in society are being eroded and by extension how liberty is threatened.
I wish to add my name to the petition.
Dr. Jens S Sörensen,

| 136 | Katie Jones | Perhaps it is naive of me, but I am absolutely appalled at the way hich is being deported with no opprotunity to contest the charges that have been brought against him. I had assumed I was living in a country that assumed people were innocent until proven guilty. I am glad that I will be moving to another country in a few months, and am considering not coming back. I hope that the Home Office recognises the injustice in this summary deportation and reconsiders, as this would help to restore my faith in UK justice. |
