Robert NiessnerThese are shocking news! I feel that Adobe has a responsibility to maintain and improve Freehand for their customers, as they bought Macromedia and their full portfolio of software products.

Daniel Schmidtthere are to many specific freehand features not implemented in illustrator, that the end of freehand leaves a big hole in the design software sector

Thomas G. KrügerkeGo ahead in developing freehand. Do it on your own or sell it to another company! TK

MaldororDon't let Freehand die. There's no replacement for that powerfull and usefull application. Illustrator is NOT the solution and in many ways way too worse.

Michael KückFREEHAND is the greatest Software for vectors, we nned it every day! DON'T KILL FREEHAND!

Fred KämmererAs a graphic design student loving the flexibility and clear interface of freehand I say: LET FREEHAND LIVE!!!

kill illustratori am a freehand user since ever and if freehand will really die, than i will change my zivil thinking to an internet and publishing warrior. i will help every other company and support every other software but not the software from adobe. if i switch to another software than for not one from adobe. xara xtreme or canvas... choose this instead of this creapy illustrator. xara xtreme pro, daneba canvas, microsoft expression design, corel draw or help inkscape to become a powerfull grafic software...
Anonymousi will never ever buy adobe products again. boycotting adobe would be the best what we set up freehand users could do. answer in this way to adobe!!! cs3 is just a marketing tool. not much changed and illustrator is same poor like before. microsoft, corel, daneba, xara, inkscape and many other companies are having grafic software as well. if i have to switch than i will choose one of those before i spent my money on adobe products.
Mike MadduxI've used FreeHand for every design job I 've done for the past 10 years. PLEASE UP-GRADE FREEHAND!!!
MikeFreeHand is a wonderful tool and deserves to be upgraded.
Adam ReilyI have used FreeHand my entire career. I love this program.

John L. RigbyI work in both FreeHand and Illustrator. The majority of my work is in Freehand. It cannot be done in Illustrator. If FreeHand is done, then I am sunk.
shawnFreehand has become an incredibly necessary tool in my workplace. Don't let it end.
wednesdaySave Freehand!!! I'll go NUTS without my Freehand!!!
AnonymousThis monopoly game is ludicrous. Sell FH to Apple or someone who sees the value AND the LOYAL worldwide users. Loyal FH users provide a large enough marketshare for someone in power (software) to take notice, step up, take the ball, and be a big player. To Adobe: either develop it or sell it but don't force us professional FH users (who enjoy the unbeatable speed, simplicity and intuitiveness of this wonderful software) into slavery with AI.

robert EdwardsI'm a creative director who knows that FH is a far superior application than Illustrator AND InDesign. We use it in place of both. Adobe would be foolish to let it die off.
Dimov GueorgiIl faut laisser freehand vivre et même le développer!
Pierre BenkerAdobe has to sold FreeHand... so another Team can continue the developpment of our favorite grafic application.
AnonymousI need FreeHand! I love FreeHand! Illustrator isn't as brilliant as FreeHand. Only one Page and much more. No, I need FreeHand
Pedro MessiazI've born with freehand! Please don't kill it.
Christopher Reinbothe!
Jeff BurneI agree with all that was said above. Illustrator could learn many many valuable ideas from the Freehand application. Illustrator has never been as easy and intuitive to use as Freehand. That results in lost time and money!

Aldus PexlyFreehand sucks. Let it die.
Maurizio CorradiPlease Adobe, don't kill Freehand. Isn't guilty. Freehand is a old and glorious warrior who help us to fight in graphic arenas. Develop new version and test the sells, you'll can see a multitude of FH designers buy it and fill your pocket! We also buy CS3 (PSD and InDes are insuperable) but FH it's a flexible companion w/out similar.
