| 52 | Jens Lattke | Need any reasons for FreeHand? Compared to Illustrator: Better Layer-Control, Path-Handling, Path-Functions, Color-Handling, 3D-Raster. Even if Illustrator has some great functions: the basics are easier and better in FreeHand! |

| 56 | Urs Meyer | Adobe sucks! And Illustrator is no alternative to Freehand. So, at least, give Freehand to the open source community! Gee... we saw it all coming a long time ago, but still this sucks big time! I will NEVER change to Illustrator! |
| 57 | Stefan Premus | Please let FreeHand live!!!!!
Greeting from germany, cologne |
| 58 | Richard Langtwist | I spent a lot of time and money to learn Illustrator. It's cool. But certainly no FreeHand-Replacment. FREEHAND MUST NOT DIE! |
| 59 | Heiko Endrigkeit | Illustrator ist kein Ersatz für Freehand. |
| 60 | Anonymous | keep it alive !!! |

| 62 | Anonymous | FreeHand is not the best illustration program nor the best layout program. But it is the best program that provides both features! |
| 63 | Martin Wolter | Let Freehand alive!
Until the special functions of newer Illu Versions it is the better Program! No Click and Click for simple functions – it works good. |
| 64 | Martin Wolter | Let Freehand alive!

| 72 | Anonymous | I have work with this fine piece of software since the early 90th now and was hoping, that they will either sell it to an other company ?or continue development on their own. Now this after one whole year lazing around. Shame on you, Adobe. ?
I don’t want Adobe to be the next Microsoft, this is one of the reasons, we are working with quarkxpress in our agency. ?And was a reason too, to use (Macromedia) Freehand, independent of beeing my favoured design tool, since AI was ever a pain. ?Less competition means less innovations and customer orientation.
The really bad news it, that there is not one single serious alternative on the market. ?Illustrator CS makes our work a misery and alternatives like Canvas X, Inkscape, Intaglio, iCalamus, Lineform are not powerful enough. ?Xara for Mac would be great, but their OS X projekt seems to be fast asleep. |

Klassische Fehlentscheidung in meinen Augen. Wollen wir mal hoffen, daß Flash nicht irgendwann ein ähnliches Schicksal erleidet - dürfte länger dauern, aber Adobe kriegt das schon hin. |
| 76 | Bodo Guennemann | There is no better programm for vectors. Illustrator is a tool for other jobs than FREEHAND. |
| 77 | Klaus Kühner | |
| 78 | Daniel Doller | So why cancel Freehand. We still need Freehand, because in the Office we have more than 50000 Freehand-Dokuments and we can not convert in another Programm without Problems.
And I like the working with Freehand very much, and the Illustrator can't take its place, because Illustrator dont works for me well.
So please keep Freehand alive, it's so important for a lot of users!!! |
| 79 | Gábor Zádor | curve editing with illustrator has always been a pain in the ass, while it was easy and comfortable with Freehand. That's why this program has to be continued. |

i am sorry for all freehand fans! |

| 90 | martin Bürkel | Alexander Hopstein, PR-Manager für Zentral- und Osteuropa bei Adobe said on 30.05.06 to macnews.de: There will be a maintainance release this year: Er kündigte in diesem Zusammenhang noch für dieses Jahr ein Maintenance-Release für das vektororientierte Zeichenprogramm an.
Whre is it?

| 93 | Lutz Pietschker | Another blow to good and user-friendly software. Ok, FH had its problems, but to get Adobe software that covers the complete FH functionality I'd have to invest at least three times the price of FH all over again. Shame on you, Adobe! |
