We say NO to Animal Factory Farms they are an outrage, and an injustice. Because we care and we want the best life possible for farm animals that are used for food, and because we care about the food we eat and our families eat. We want to make absolutely sure that egg, dairy, meat and poultry products we buy were raised right: humanely which includes nutritious diet without antibiotics or hormones, animals raised with proper shelter, resting areas, sufficient space and ability to engage in natural behaviors! We support and demand the "Certified Humane Raised & Handled Program" www.CertifiedHumane.org. An independent NONPROFIT program that specifies humane standards and conducts rigorous inspections to monitor compliance. The nation's leading humane organizations endorse the program. USA Today and others call it "the Gold standard." We want the label and we will only shop and buy products that are "Certified Humane Raised & Handled." Not false labels that claim Organically Raised, or Free Range only. The standards for those labels do not meet are needs. Free range can be classified as a million birds packed into a building, but not in cages. We the people will shut down the "corporate agribusiness" to treat animals as objects and commodities to produce inexpensive meats, eggs, and dairy products is not OK. We the people will not buy these products and therefore will drive the "Factory Farms" out of business. We do not want farms replaced by warehouses with no windows; to keep the deplorable conditions out of sight from the public, where animals are confined in crowded cages, pens, crates and restrictive stalls is unacceptable to us. We will not tolerate ANY form of animal abuse or neglect. We the people, the public, and future generations to come will wipe out Factory Farms. Animal abusers are criminals and will be prosecuted and put behind bars, because we the people care, and we will make sure that The Animal Welfare Act and the future Laws that we will see passed are upheld. No more excuses! The USDA's Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsak and his cabinet members have failed miserably in protecting millions of animals under "The Animal Welfare Act". The USDA states that "for more than a quarter of this century, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has enforced the Animal Welfare Act (AWA) to protect certain animals from inhumane treatment and neglect. Congress passed the AWA in 1966 and strengthened the law through amendments in 1970, 1976, 1985, and 1990. The USDA took an oath to uphold do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter so help me God! There have been countless documented acts of violence, neglect, and abuse towards animals. These criminals get nothing more than a slap on the wrist and are warned to be "more careful" when hiring, because of the undercover people with video cameras getting a job at these torture houses and documenting the abuse. We will see change, justice always prevails in the end; God sees to it! Compassion, and to do what is right can never be replaced!

I have spent hours reading through your personal stories about why this shift in standard is so vital for our families. Your experiences with the reality of hidden factory farming practices keep me focused on the goal of securing better lives for these animals. Please know that your frustration fuels the work I am doing to push for real accountability in our food system.

Seeing this momentum grow reminds me of why I started this fight in the first place because no animal should have to suffer inside those cramped conditions. Your commitment to demanding better standards gives me hope that we can finally turn the tide against these cruel farming practices.
