Aboriginals of Canada have been treated unfairly for generations. Canada has been ignoring the shameful legislation called the Indian Act. Natives of our country have been not been treated as normal citizens of Canada. Stripped from their land and put into reserves, the Aboriginal people of Canada have different jail times and fines, healthcare, education etc. The purpose of the petition is to make the government see that even other Canadians are against the Indian Act and that all Canadians should be able to be free. Signing this petition will show that you care for the freedom of our fellow Canadians.
