155 Daniel WylieFirst up, the punishment doesn't fit the crime. When you take it in to consideration the crime was committed three years previously and that Gary had got himself a job and had stayed out of trouble, for a judge to choose him as the one to use as an example is outrageous. He could just as easily have given Gary some community service and used him as a good example of how you can get your life back on track. Shame on the British justice system, a system that let's convicted paedophiles, murderers and career criminals off with light sentances while young men with no previous are used to make an example of. Free Gary Shields now.

194 Robert S. WilsonHow is it, that individuals convicted of robbery, burglary and assualt get lesser sentences, than an artist who is painting abandoned walls and trains? Making an example of an artist, by giving an outlandish jail sentence, will not deter other artist from painting in similar acts. The city council, should re -think its strategy and create other outlets that street artist may use, so the 'problem' of illegal painting doesn't continue. If taxes are being spent to keep an artist in jail for 28 months, surely those taxes could be spent in a more productive manner to create outlets that these artist need. This then solves the problem for both the city council, the city and the artists. Free Daze
195 Brian BroadleyThis should be instituted as a form of employment and paid correspondingly.
