Clifton Williams was in court observing as his cousin was sentenced on drug charges. Clifton let out a yawn, and the corrupt Judge Daniel Rozak sentenced Clifton to six months in jail for contempt-of-court (the maximum sentence without a jury). There are several things wrong with this. Even though it's legal for Rozak to do so, Clifton was not given a jury trial. On top of that, the victim is usually not allowed to take part in the sentencing of the offender. Rozak, the "victim," was the one who sentenced Clifton. So clearly Clifton didn't receive a fair trial. Maybe Clifton forgot he was in court and loudly yawned like he does at home. Maybe he was trying to disrupt the court, and if so, the fact that he didn't receive a fair trial still stands. On top of that, any sane person will tell you that six months is way too harsh. We must also take into consideration that Judge Rozak issues contempt-of-court charges at a higher rate than any other judge in his county. This leads us to believe that there is something rotten in Rozak's court. Maybe he is getting paid, probably illegally, to give innocent people harsh sentences. We the undersigned demand: 1. That Clifton Williams be freed and these insane charges be removed from his record. 2. That Judge Daniel Rozak be thoroughly investigated for corruption, as well as any other criminal acts that may have gone unnoticed, and fired if any imperfections are found. If Williams is free by the time this petition is delivered, we still demand the latter part of 1 and all of 2.
