Dear H.E. Mr. Ban Ki-moon:
With miseries and agonies continue unabated and with leaders of democracy movement constantly threatened, jailed, and killed, Burma seriously needs collective and coordinated actions from the international community.
Dire situations calls for dire actions. The actions must come from the UN Security Council.
We are in solidarity with the Long March and Hunger Strike campaigners urging the UN Security Council to take urgent, concrete and concerted actions for the freedom of Burma and immediate release of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, 1991 Nobel peace prize and 2000 U.S. Presidential Medal of Freedom award winner.
While we heed the call of Burmaâs leader Daw Aung San Suu Kyi âPlease use your liberty to promote ours,â we support the call of Long March and Hunger Strike campaigners to âfree Burma and Daw Aung San Suu Kyi.â
We truly hope that you will do everything in your power to help fulfill the wish of all Burmese people for them to be able to live in freedom and peace.
Thank you.
Respectfully,
