Peter James is a Ghanaian national, currently being detained in Harmondsworth removal centre. In the eight years he has spent in England, he has settled and formed a family life that includes a daughter he would be devastated to leave if he is deported. He is applying for temporary release and has applied for bail in the past, however the home office has refused his applications on the basis of his poor immigration history. Peter has family sponsors to support him if released, and has no basis to leave the country or fail to comply with the home office. He wants to remain in the UK and be a father to his daughter. Peter even has support from his local MP, who has written a letter to the home office asking for Peter to be given bail.
