We all know it's been a few years since Canada has won gold at the World Junior Championships, and "yes" I'm as shocked as you are. A Major reason why we haven't won lately is because a majority of our eligible players play in the NHL. Unfortunately,With the NHL lockout, this year was not an exception to this theory. This year was one big fluke for team USA. The purpose of this petition is to lobby for the release of Jonathan Drouin and Nathan MacKinnon from their respective NHL clubs next season, as they are both a surefire bet to be playing in the National Hockey League in 2013-14 So please, sign this petition and let's bring world junior gold back to Canada!
