I am a mother and watched my son Jessie Lee Davis II get 20 years in prison he did not kill, rape, or even steal. This was the beginning of Jessie and my nightmare that we are still living. The Judge that sentence my son to 20 years said he was going to make an example out of him and he was going to send as many people as he could to prison before he retire. My son was one of those people. My son did need to pay for starting and argument in the house of the guy he went to buy drugs from. It got out of hand and drug deal gone bad, when my son and his girlfriend along with her brother left the house the drug dealer called the police and told them my son and the two with him broke into the house and threaten them with a baseball bat. There was never a baseball bat founded, there was no forced enter. The big guard dog was tied up for them to enter. The girlfriend was driving and when the police tried to stop them she did not stop. I could have only imagined as the plot to put away as many as he could at any means. I will name the Judge. Because of the words of one man that had in his heart not to be forgotten my so has 20 years to do in prison. There is no other criminal charge where man had so much power my son tried to tell the courts he felt his lawyer was not trying to prove his innocence and bring all the evidence to the court. You are absolutely guilty until you prove your innocence, but what if you don’t get to prove your innocence! I have spoken to many lawyers and they say that they can see in may son case so many mistakes but want to charge at least 10,000 to get him out I don’t have 10,000 and my son seems like he will do 20 years for an argument gone bad and the drug dealer is still dealing drugs, some court system. I know lawyers get their degree to make money but what about justice isn’t that part of the job also. A man murder someone here and got 5 years go figure.
