Free Female Protection

Support required for females to receive free female protection in schools, the workplace and public toilets. The idea of being asked to carry our own toilet tissue, when we visit schools, the workplace or public toilets is beyond comprehension. We expect toilet tissue to be free when we visit the above places Yet we expect females to carry sanitary towel, sanitary pad, menstrual pad and tampons. What ever we call them or what ever we use, the fact is we carry them around with us at least one week every month for between 4 and over 14 days in some cases, this events can be a part of a females life for over 40yrs. It's not about cost however the average lifetime cost is anything from £6,760 - £20,000 if the female goes on the have 2 children that are girls their sanitary pad / tampons have to be factored in the budget. Wikipedia states: If a woman does not have sanitary napkins on hand, she might use toilet paper as a temporary substitution - my question is, why should she have to? Puberty in girls usually starts at any time between 8 and 13 years. 8yrs old experiencing menstrual flow at school with no money, why should she have to tell someone she requires sanitary protection? Give females the dignity of free female protection at schools, the workplace or public toilets and take the tax off these items when we buy them for use at home. This is not a luxury item it's a human right to dignity we don't want temporary substitution when we are out and about any longer. Sanitary protection first became commercially available from around 1888, for several years they were too expensive for many women to afford - The same is true today. I'm sure you agree It's time for change! Please sign this petition if you want to help us get FREE Female Protection.
