And what about this DH crap now? I thought we didn't have the DH in the national league, but now we have to plan as if we had one, for like 10 games a season? How is that fair?

Andre deserves his slot in the lineup, he has earned it. This power starved club cannot afford to sit a guy who has hit 11 homers for TWO guys who have combined for TWO homers all year long! Andre's presence in left also keeps opposition runners from trying to advance/score on shallow to medium fly balls. This is MLB, they will spot your weaknesses and exploit them at will. Platoon Jones and Pierre or trade Pierre....thats it! |

Then Torre says he's playing Jones instead of Ethier because it's a lefty matchup; however, against a righthander he still starts Jones. This is despite Andre outplaying him in every aspect of the game.
