The whole Merseyrail board are, in not supporting their staff, were purely just protecting their own backsides!Flag

Name: Anonymous on Jan 1, 2013Comments: Reading the RAIB report clearly shows there are big risks being taken with the size of the platform edge gap and the authorised dispatch procedure for closing the guards door before the train moves off. Why wasn't the Ainsdale death in 2004 investigated as a risk incident as well as a criminal event?Flag

Name: Rich on Jan 2, 2013Comments: yes, watched this case as it went though and suspected at the time that this guy could be made a scapegoat..that's certainly happened here. I've got teenage daughters myself and do feel the parent's pain but nevertheless don't think think the blame should have been allowed to pass entireloy to one to one guy in this way. Nothing will bring her back and some forgiveness is what's needed here and may just heal the pain. After all, this guy has got to live with this for life, isn't that punishment enough?Flag
