Name: Andy Richmond on Dec 18, 2012Comments: In signing this petition Joan, please never ever lose sight of the fact that Chris was hung out to dry & made a scapegoat over this whole terrible incident - Aslef & MerseyRail should be hanging their heads in shame, as should so many other people. I am a guard myself, & have been for many years - I would also like to ask you if you could possibly log in to railchat.co.uk/forum at some point, in order to see just how much support Chris has from the railway "family". He does not belong in Walton jail, & he should be a free man - I sincerely hope that an appeal has been lodged at this mockery of justice. God bless.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Jan 1, 2013Comments: The focus of the trial was about the guards failures. I find it appalling that the reason the accident happend was because you had a girl at 16 years of age, very drunk and had traces of drugs in her system, was in town with the intention of partying more, even though it is illegal to drink at 16 and it is illegal to enter pubs and clubs in town at 16. Maybe had the parents kept a closer eye on their daughter she would still be with them. It is unfair to say that the guard didn't look after her, she isn't his daughter, why weren't the parents looking after her. It is so easy to blame others for our own failings, grow up and get a grip, you have kids, they are YOUR responsibility, no one elses.Flag
