Name: Sophie Tanguay on Nov 16, 2012Comments: Married to one (Guard) and I would hate this to happen to our family because of someone elses mistake. I feel for the family of the deceased girl. However difficult parenting can be, I would never ever let my daughter drink underage nor let her go partying at that tender age. Making decisions everyday as a guard dealing with the most difficult customers is what I hear everyday from my other half as I'm his sounding board he does his best every time he takes a train to keep everyone safe as I'm sure Chris McGee intended on the day of this tragic accident, my husband doesn't get up everyday to take a train out and intentionally hurt or kill anyone, accidents happen. So my message is; one life was lost why ruin another family's life?! FREE HIM NOW.Flag

Name: Chris_nemo@hotmail.co.uk on Nov 17, 2012Comments: the death of this young girl was unfortunate and untimely but accidental. I think that this man is more than sorry for this horrific accident that happened but I do not think the time he was given to serve in jail is justice at its best. The sentence should be reduced at least or be freed as prison is meant for people who commit crimesFlag

Comments: I really feel for this guy. They are great guys who work on the railway in Liverpool and I feel this is really excessive this ruling. I cant help thinking of the blame culture this country has to put up with. To have 'closure' we have to blame someone, rather than take responsibility of ourselves not to be in dangerous situations. Additionally i'm a cyclist and everyday I have to risk myself on the roads; if a driver killed me they would be lucky to get six months. I really dont understand this discrepancy. I feel for everybody involved in this affair, wholly sad.Flag -

We have such a blame culture in this stupid pathetic country that we don't know the meaning of responsibility for our own actions.Flag
