This petition is turning a concept for a central park & sports complex from just an idea into a true movement. TGIF! The petition is only in its 3rd day and already has well over 100 signatures! This is truly becoming a community movement, and one with the hopes of encouraging our elected leaders in Franklin to focus on these needed community amenities. This is not only for a benefit in terms of a community gathering place, but also a benefit in making Franklin an attractive community to businesses, retail, and restaurants. The potential for new dining and retail opportunities in Franklin skyrockets if the concept being promoted in the petition comes to life.

They are:Baseball quadSoftball quadFieldhouse/Aquatics CenterBaseball stadiumFootball stadium w/trackThe idea was a merger of several needs - the Metro Milwaukee Sports Association proposed their concept of a baseball stadium, baseball & softball quad and an indoor facility for batting cages, basketball, tennis, volleyball, etc. to the county in 2007. The Aquatics Center is from the push by residents in October/November 2009. The football stadium could place the Ironman Football League in a decent home, in comparison to their current location - the soccer field next to the Milwaukee County Sports Complex.CCD welcomes anyone interested in providing their thoughts and opinions relating to this idea or anything else they'd like to see happen in Franklin.
