This petition\'s intentions are to stop the discrimination against PitBull Owners who live in Florida. Florida Power & Light\'s new policy is appalling. It does not specify all large dog breeds which are just as dangerous, only Pitbulls. To claim one dog breed is more dangerous than all others is ignorant! Here is the policy and employee who distributed it; "Employee safety is very important to us at FPL. Due to a new policy change, FPL meter readers are prohibited from entering any account where a pit bull or any pit bull-type dog resides unless they make actual contact with the customer first and the customer puts the animal(s) in a secure location inside the house. Please contact us at (941) 316-6201 to discuss alternative arrangements to avoid future estimated bills." I think FPL should remove this policy for it is only a ploy to make money off of unsuspecting consumers. May I add that some FPL workers carry a can of pepper spray just for such an attack from ANY dog. If it is not mandatory it should be. Ignorance Kills..
