Comments: Isolating South Elliot is not a good idea; and anything that has the potential to increase neighborhood traffic - is short sighted. There is lots of green space in the vicinity - the benefit is not clear.

Comments: Letting private entities take over public space is just wrong. Also, every street closing only creates more traffic on other blocks. Enough!

Comments: Yes to renovating Fowler Square, with better pavement, plantings, irrigation system, and improved lighting of the statue. Fowler Square could be enlarged by incorporating the "No Standing" lanes, and nothing more, still retaining an important vehicular artery. Yes to renovating BAM Triangle Park (like into a plaza), and removing the visual and physical barrier created by the ironing fencing. No to eliminating a through street, and shunting traffic to adjacent streets (like South Portland and Fulton). You may also recall the already horrific traffic snarls and continuous honking when Brooklyn Tech hosts city-wide exams and other events. No to creating a desolate, lone and potentially dangerous South Elliott street, particularly at night. No to Dept of Transportation for looking to fix something that ain't broke.

Comments: It would prevent drivers going south on South Elliot Place from turning right on Fulton. They would have to turn left on Lafayette and drive around several blocks, adding inconvenience to them and more congestion for the rest of us. Also, the slightly larger park is not a place the public will ever use to sit and relax. Too much traffic on all sides.

Comments: If there was an honest goal of creating a neighborhood asset...the money allocated for this terrible idea, would be far better served repairing the locked up green area in front of BAM.

Comments: This plan may just create a space to hang out for free drawing too much of a crowd. It may backfire on the merchants, especially the restaurants,as people start to avoid Fowler Square.

Comments: Do not close S. Elliott Place between Lafayette Ave a nd Fulton St. There are too many people and it will create more congestion where it"s bad already. Resident of s elliott plc for 46 years.
