The two-day weekend in America is unfair to worker's, providing an unbalanced life that places too much emphasis on work and not enough on family and living. It may seem greedy to want to double it to four days, but Thanksgiving weekend is always the busiest shopping weekend of the year, so commerce certainly won't be hurt. We could also "flex-time" the scheduling so that some people work Monday-Wednesday, some Tuesday-Thursday, some Wednesday-Friday, etc. too, allowing business owners to still benefit from having staffing for a minimum of five days per week and up to the full seven for retail, restaurants, etc. Heck, I'm sure we'd all agree to even work three 12-hour days so that the loss of actual work to employers is only four hours a week. You know you'd be more productive in those 36 hours than you've ever been in 40, so sign the petition and let's make a change that promotes the importance of life over work. This is change I believe we ALL can believe in.
