As you are all aware our timetable has been changed to afternoon and evenings. This change was implemented and no consultation with students was made. The new timetable was so late in being published that it left us no time to make suitable alternate arrangements. Constraints prevent many students from attending the evening classes. We are constantly being undervalued by Suffolk College as they try to promote there new vibrant image. These changes mean we are slowly being marginalised in favour of the more presitgious degrees. Please take the time to sign this petition for the greater good of our respective classes. Regards

UCS seem to have given very little consideration to those with families who might find these hours difficult to attend. Some consultation with the students should have taken place, before the revised timetable was implemented.

I feel it is unfair to change the time of our studies at such short notice, with no consultation and two years into a course. I am sure this will cause problems for a number of students.

Also a point to note on a Monday, after 5pm there are no hot/cold water facilities (I am under the impression this breaks Health and Safety rules). There are also no hot food facilities after 5pm.

I am unable to attend due to childcare arrangements therefore my learning will suffer. Not good UCS! What quality assurance system does UCS have

Its good that we have a good rep on this case it is a disgrace that this has been put to us at short notice, I fully support this student, like this student I have been attending for 4 years (currently in the 5th) and I am not supprised by the poor form that UCS are showing!

I completely agree with the above statement but would like to add that on the 14th September those who do the foundation degrees in Building Control and Building Surveying were informed that our modules were no longer being taught and we would have to self study, bearing in mind we start college on the 24th September this has taken away the option to find alternative arrangements. If they intended to cancel the modules we should have been consulted sooner!
