Help Observe Upcoming Bayelsa Guber Election!

The petition

Dear Sir/Madam,

We aim to recruit volunteers to observe the upcoming guber elections in Bayelsa State of Nigeria.

Following the annulment of the 2007 gubernatorial election in Bayelsa State, fresh elections are expected to be held within three months.

Such annulments prevent continuity in government, impacts negatively on infrastructural development and the preceding political instability inevitably leads to misappropriation of scarce public funds.

It is thus vital that, for the sake of development, we prevent recurrence of such annulment in the future, by ensuring that the upcoming election is as free and fair as possible.

We are thus calling on all well-meaning non-partisan Bayelsan, Ijaw, Nigerian and International individuals and organisations to help act as observers for this vital elections.
