We, the students, parents, guardians and faculity at

Fort Caroline Middle School
3787 University Club Blvd
Jacksonville, FL 32277

affirm that by signing this petition we are AGAINST school uniforms for incoming seventh and eight grade classes at Fort Caroline Middle School for the 2008-2009 school year.

The school administration decided AFTER the magnet school deadline to change their policy to now require that seventh and eighth graders wear uniforms. The change in this policy did not give students or parents the opportunity to make their school choice based upon their preference to take part in a uniform program.

We are committed to restoring the ORIGINAL policy to require ONLY the entering sixth grade class to wear uniforms.
