We, the residents of Shadow Woods / Deer Brook formally request a public meeting of the Water Board. We request a public discussion regarding:
- the Water Board's decision to dramatically increase our water asessments
- the criteria by which the increase was deemed the most appropriate solution,
- general concerns regarding the administration of the water budget
- the overall health and maintenance of the water system.
Prior to the meeting, we request that a detailed water budget (including all expenses, liabilities, and revenue line items with payee and payer clearly identified) be provided to all residents so that we have an opportunity to review it. This will allow for a more productive, substantive, and fact-based discussion of the issues.
We also request that any documentation regarding the covenants of the Water Board, including reserve requirements, be included with the budget.
It is acceptable to us to have any documents provided electronically, in the interest of time and cost. We suggest that a simple one page postal letter to all residents including the meeting time and location, and a URL where we can view and download the documents would be adequate.
We request that the public meeting be held during evening hours on a weekday prior to February 15, 2013.
