WE, THE UNDERSIGNED, HEREBY PETITION THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF VETERAN AFFAIRS (VA) for a Grant of Seven Hundred Fifty Thousand ($750,000) dollars to create a California VETERAN OUTREACH "Motor Home Project", including the purchase of a "Motor Home" with "VA Video Connect" Medical equipment to service San Francisco's growing homeless population,

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

TOO MANY US VETERANS ARE HURT, HOMELESS, HUMILIATED

- and BEGGING FOR HELP!

According to the VA, at least one out of every four homeless adults roaming our streets is a Veteran.

OUR MISSION

1. To recover every one of our Homeless Heroes

2. To restore their vision for the future

3. To help them achieve their American Dream

RECIPIENT OF THE GRANT

The Temple of the Lost Sheep A/K/A Action Committee to Help the Homeless Now”; a 501 (c)(3) non-profit, non-denominational Christian charitable organization and its subsidiary “hhhNow" (Help our Homeless Heroes Now).

USE OF FUNDS

The proceeds of the Grant will be used exclusively:

1. To purchase a Motor Home (customized to serve the Project’s objectives as set forth herein, including the purchase of "VA Video Connect" equipment designed to conduct immediate health issue analyses of Veterans via video conferencing with VA doctors; and in addition to pay the costs of insurance, licenses, legal fees and expenses associated with the ownership and operation of a Motor Home in and around the City of San Francisco, California;

2. To pay the Project’s personnel and operational expenses during its first few months of operation.

WHAT WILL THIS PROJECT BRING TO OUR HEROES?

It will give them Immediate Access To:

  • Counselors
  • Food
  • Health analytics
  • Shelter
  • PTSD programs
  • Addiction Control

It will improve the lives of San Francisco's HOMELESS VETERANS NOW !

WHAT WILL THIS PROJECT BRING TO THE COMMUNITY?

It will improve the quality of life in San Francisco by providing a pathway whereby Homeless Veterans can escape their homeless lifestyle and connect with a Community of Peers and fellow-Veterans who are dedicated to providing them with access to medical care, food, clothing, job-training, comfort and support.

hhhNow Counselors will enable our Veterans to re-establish a normal lifestyle, eat right, look right and pursue their career ambitions,

REPLICATING A PROVEN SOLUTION

During the 1980s and 1990s, the “Action Committee to Help the Homeless NOW” used its Motor Home to find and care for homeless Veterans in and around New York City. It was, by far, New York's most successful Veteran Outreach Project.

WHY THIS "MOTOR HOME PROJECT'S" SUCCESS IS INEVITABLE

Our Organization has served the needs of Homeless Veterans for more than 50 years. It has developed multiple ways to help our Veterans restore their positive outlook.

Its Heroes have:

  • “Walked a mile in their shoes”,
  • Faced the same demons they face,
  • Learned to control their “disorders”,
  • Overcome depression, and
  • Are determined to "leave no one behind".

EMPLOYMENT

“hhhNow” will employ qualified personnel who will work hard to help our Heroes establish healthy work-habits, job-training and employment.

A SELF-SUPPORTING PROJECT

Ongoing Operational Expenses will be secured through Private Funding and Donations.

AN AMERICAN TRAGEDY

hhhNow Motor Home Projects have the capacity to clean up our streets, reduce Homeless populations in every City in our Country and substantially diminish Veteran suicides.

The VA reports that twenty-two (22) American Veterans commit suicide every single day.
