Forget My Rights!

The petition

In a time of war the president has the authority to use whatever means necessary. Attempts to declare President Bush's use of wiretapping on calls only involving possible Al Qaeda members or those with a connection to Al Qaeda, is well warranted.

I sign this petition saying that in a time of war I am willing to forget my civil rights and liberties for the sake of the safety and protection of my country.

My rights should never infringe anybody else's rights. Therefore I'm willing to say that I forget my rights, for the sake of my fellow countrymen's right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness entitled by our very governing documents.

It's time to stop making national security a political issue, and make it a priority for all parties!
