Currently the government is giving up to less than 0.03% of our GDP to foreign aid. Kevin Rudd has promised to increase this to 0.05% but Australia's original goal was to give 0.07% of our GDP to Foreign aid to help developing countries more developed. I think we as australians should be ashamed of ourselves as even though we live such lucky and prosperous lives this very minute people are suffering, drinking dirty water, children working day and night only to make less than a dollar a day. Meanwhile we australians are giving less than half of our goal to these children who are in need. I believe the government should be giving 0.07% of our GDP to all these very poor people who are in need of lots of help. If you support this cause please sign this petition.
