Name: James Galvin on Nov 25, 2003State: MDCountry: USComments: The Focus RS and Cosworth are decendents of the past's great rally (homoligation) cars. With the popularity of rally growing in NA it's a perfect marketing strategy for Ford to bring these cars over. Ford will sell these cars easily (as evident with the WRX, STi, Evo SRT-4) and the enthusiasts will win with the option of buying one. Please, Ford, make this happen. As a 27 yo. male with a good job and a home owner this is the kind of pocket rocket I'm waiting for. A rally inspired awd, turbo charged car with a good dealer network and parts availability.Flag

Name: Adam Huntoon on Nov 26, 2003State: NHCountry: USComments: YES oh YES Ford needs to bring a real sport compact over here to the states, the regular Focus with the 2.0L engine is ok but lacks power, give us something that can compete with the Evo or Sti. Seriously Ford, get your head out of your asses and build us some real cars with real power!!Flag

Name: Guy Clark on Nov 26, 2003State: MOCountry: USComments: I recently purchased a Focus SVT & am very pleased. I could've spent more than 18g but not enough for an Evolution or WRX STI. If something was available between 20 & 30,000 it would've been mine. I believe the RS would've quenched my thirst.Flag

Name: Joe Gogolak on Nov 26, 2003State: INCountry: USComments: You guys have been doing the shittiest job of marketing and making your cars. Crap you have some of the best mergers (for lack for wording it's late) with other companies like Cosworth and Shelby. You can surely make the SVTF A LOT faster than it is now at low low cost increase to none at all. If you want to compete with Dodge and Mitsu etc. you have to have a car that will compete with them. You cannot expect every person in the world who wants to compete with those cars to go out and get a focus and spend tons of money to make a fast one. Sure it would be the cheapest way to go but not a lot of people are willing to do that. That is why you have to have a stock car thats fast with lots of torque and hp! You guys/gals have seriously made shit for the Focus...the potential is limitless! If you'd like some marketing advise join a forum or 2 and find out what the customers think. You people must be too old to even figure out what the customers want if your going to drop svt for the 05 model year all together. You have to be crazy. Be prepared for a drop in sales and more importantly a drop in repeat customers. Hell if you brought the RS over finally you'd have a fine share of the market, but you don't seem to think thats a good idea. Why I'd like to know Hell I also saw people never want to buy a FORD all together because of the shitty rotors on their Focus. If someone will be willing to NEVER BUY A FORD AGAIN BECAUSE OF BRAKE ROTORS just think of what stupid people will do to get new ideas to never buy a FORD AGAIN Stupid marketing and lack of power is what. If you don't pay any attention to this petition so help you because you will definatly not be making sales. Hell, just make the reliability better on the car and mroe people will buy one, but to sell to a crapload of people in all markets make a faster Focus.Flag

Name: Ben Rogers on Nov 27, 2003State: NCCountry: USComments: The short sighted brass at Ford never ceases to amaze me......you people are missing the boat. Keep on building ultra-expensive retro cars but give us what you've been feeding the Europeans for years (see Cosworth Escort RS). Honda Civic's came to the US as Econo Boxes and were embraced by the tuner market. Just having a hard time believing the BEST selling small car in the World doesn't deserve a well-tuned, factory supported car in the US. This is the exact reason that the last Ford I owned was a 1965 Mustang.Flag

Name: James Bauer on Dec 2, 2003State: PACountry: USComments: I'd love to see this happen, but Ford leaves me with little confidence that it will. Especially since they're now contemplating a delay on updating the Focus to the new C1 chassis until 2007 (or something similarly silly). This will leave them lagging behind just about everyone. This is the exact same path they took with the Taurus SHO back in '89. Car and Driver just about fell over themselves praising the car and the Ford summarily rested on their laurels until the car was surpassed by their rivals. Alas.Flag

Ford is mising out on a market of sports cars in north america. ford has done this before with the ford probe wich in fact went know where in the sport car development. Lets hope that ford will not make that same mistake again and send the focus rs and the focus cosworth to americaFlag
