West Lancashire County Council have turned down an enquiry about opening a cool Japanese restaurant in the town centre. A businessman has looked into the possibility of transforming Johnson's cleaners, which is currently empty and a prime position in the centre of Ormskirk, into a YO! Sushi restaurant. Apparantly, in the eyes of the councillor(s) who made the decision it wouldn't fit with the ethos of the town centre - whatever that may be. Instead of driving the town centre forward and raising the appeal with a branded, exciting, innovative restaurant the idea was squashed from the outset. YO! Sushi would be GREAT for Ormskirk and the surrounding areas and for one or two councillor who appear to be stuck in the past this could be a tasty reality - it is time to speak up when such daft decisions are made....
