This is a petition to protect the rights of Japanese fishermen from being harassed and petitioned out of their way of life. Needing a cause to define yourself should NOT be a legitimate reason to interfere in another persons efforts to make a living. Forcing your dietary habits onto the rest of society does NOT make you morally superior. Trying to upset the naturally occurring food chain is NOT the way to be environmentally friendly. Poor hardworking Japanese fisherman are attacked and harassed everyday by privileged, aimless American citizens looking to police the globe with their tyrannical views. These fishermen are finding it harder and harder to unload the hard earned fruits of their labor as more and more companies are forced by heavy handed tactics and petitions to discontinue their partnerships with them. How would you like it if someone tried to stop you from doing your job? People are trying to instate a bill of rights for the food that these fishermen catch, all the while ignoring that the fishermen should be the ones with a bill of rights! They should be protected from having their livelihood interrupted. Sign this petition and help the Japanese fishermen continue to provide for their families as they have done for years and put an end to the wanton interference with their lives.
