I will seriously consider other districts for my children if this passes. The current system does not support advance course work or busing for my children. Restructuring will further negatively impact my attitude and involvement with MPS elementary schools.

At the very least, this change needs to be put to the vote of the taxpayers who will be paying for these changes, salaries and bussing needs. Can you afford to lose the potential families and students a change like this will produce?

    Comments: I am a school of choice parent that drives 11 miles to bring my kids to Marshall. My husband and I both attended Hughes Elementary, MMS, and MHS. We have strong ties to Marshall and feel this reorganization would not benefit our children. I realize there are some positive benefits, but feel there are too many negatives. I have also served on our PCO for the last 4 years and feel it would be nearly impossible to volunteer at 3 different schools!

    Comments: As a graduate of MHS I enrolled my daughters as school of choice students to receive the quality education that Marshall is known for. However, with the suggested changes, increased clas size, changing schools every 2 year's. I am questioning if MPS is going to provide what they need, or do I need to look into other schools.
