The following petition is requesting a footpath be constructed along Gardner And Holman Rd, Drouin VIC 3818. If you are a local resident, we urge your support by signing the petition.

We bring to your attention to the lack of pedestrian access alongGardner And Holman Rdfrom Longwarry Rd to Shillinglaws Rd. This dangerous terrain is used by residents to gain pedestrian access to the Longwarry Rd or to gain access to Shillinglaws Rd, eg; to get through to Bellbird Park.

ln its present state, the area is comprised of dangerous, uneven surfaces, an open drain, numerous trees, a speed limit of 80 and a railway crossing which has no pedestrian crossing. Some residents are not comfortable to even try to walk down this hazardous road and most residents are left to walk on the road which is very unsafe.

There are children using Gardner And Holman Road to get to and from school either by walking or riding and they may not fully understand the road rules and risks of riding on the road. With new subdivisions being approved on Gardner And Holman Rd, this is sure to increase as more families move to the area.

We the undersigned residents request that Baw Baw Shire Council provide a safe pedestrian footpath along Gardner And Holman Rd for the residents of the area for the following reasons:

We seek safe passage for parents with prams, school children walking/cycling, cyclists, residents jogging/walking, elderly people walking or using scooters, disabled persons walking or using wheelchairs.

We would like a footpath to be considered and laid as soon as possible and believe it to be a HIGH PRIORITY.
