Name: Julie Overman on Dec 6, 2006Comments: Folk's Cafe's coffee, espresso and other drinks (as well as food) are superior to Starbucks,' and far superior to Port City Java or Java City. The operators of Folk's do much to support the artistic and community-at-large in Wilmington, they roast their own coffee, and they are incomparably nice to interact with. To have Folk's is to support the best coffee shop in town, and to chose local, individual diversity over another corporate clone.Flag

Name: Jarvis Slacks on Dec 6, 2006Comments: Folks cafe in Randall library is a wonderful idea. It is locally run, and is a positive force in the community. I would use a Folk's run facility more often than I would use one run by Starbucks or Port City Java. Neither of the later have ever impressed me.Flag

Name: Danielle DeRise on Dec 6, 2006Comments: Both Starbucks and PCJ are way overpriced for the quality of coffee they offer. I've been complaining about Java City for years, but would much rather have them than the huge corporate chains that charge you way too much for a very mediocre, bitter-tasting cup of coffee.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Dec 7, 2006Comments: If you have to change the coffee that is already available it seems a good local move to choose a local business that is socially responsible. Port City Java is local but the coffee is not good.Flag

Name: Alison on Dec 7, 2006Comments: folks cafe has dEElicious coffee AND it's fair trade and organic, i think it would be a good opportunity to raise awareness to the coffee fiends we feed everyday that their overpriced cup of joe is cheap to companies and expensive to families and communities that produce them.Flag
