| 101 | Margaret (Peggy) Wood | I waited "with bated breath" for the DNA results to come back from the SBI, was so relieved when they certainly seemed to show the lacrosse players to be in the clear, and then was horrified when the DA proceeded to ignore those good results. That was definitely a beginning ... |

| 110 | Donna Wellington | The Duke Administration now has the chance to stand for the truth; let's hope they have the courage to do so. Otherwise, they should be replaced en masse. |

| 112 | Jelena Matic | This is a ridiculous case. It needs to end now. The prosecutor needs to step away from this case. It was a tragic mistake. I feel very sorry for the pain these families must feel. Good luck with your futures Collin, Dave & Reade! |
| 113 | Guy Solie | I appreciate the letter from the Economics Dept. I hope that they speak for the majority of the Duke faculty and the administration. |
| 114 | K.C. Kercher | I think this has gone on long enough and it's time for people to stand up for the rights that have been negated. |

| 121 | Katie Jandl | Reade is my sister's boyfriend and one of my closest friends. He is truly one of the most considerate people I have ever met. It is not only unbelievable that this has gone on for so long, but is absolutely unfathomable to me that Duke has failed to support Reade, Dave and Colin and the rest of the team throughout this ridiculous ordeal. |

| 123 | Helen DuBois | I am, as was my mother, a Duke donor and I am appalled at how this whole case has played out. While the two students were invited back, how can you give them back their reputations and the time and money lost? We live in a society where the press decides who is guilty before the facts are known and proven. |

| 130 | Ann Jandl | I am very pleased that the economics professors have come forward. I feel like the entire Duke community should be supporting these boys, families, and the lacrosse team. The group of 88 should be apologizing publicly. |
| 131 | Eric Norgren | As Collin Finnerty's father stated on "On the Record" with Great Van Susteren in late December the Duke administration's support of the falsely accused and their families was "disappointing" up until Friday, 12/22/06 (the day the rape charges were dropped against all 3). Mr. Finnerty was being very, very polite. The Duke administration chose to take the "politically correct" path despite being aware of "exculpatory testimony" (via the Duke Office of Student Affairs and Residential Life) within 36 hours of the alleged attack. Incredibly, the Duke president did not find out about this "exculpatory testimony" until 8 days after the alleged attack. Instead the Duke administration caved to cries from the public and, for all intents and purposes, forced the Duke Lacrosse coach to resign and canceled the rest of the lacrosse season. Even Coach K stated publicly in a press conference he did not know what former lacrosse coach Pressler had done wrong.
My heartfelt prayers are with the accused, their families, the former coach and his family, and all the current and former lacrosse players and families who have been living on a relatively small island dealing with this seemingly living hell.
Oh yes, the Duke administration's support of the falsely accused now is certainly "better late than never" but is much too late to undo the catastrophic damage resulting from their inaction until 12/22/06. |

| 137 | Anonymous | This case has been a travesty of justice since Day One. As an American it is difficult to accept that something so egregious can continue for this length of time without someone in Durham and Duke standing up and telling the truth. The actions of "adults" Richard Brodhead and Robert Steel were a fine example of too little too late. My heart goes out to the entire team, but especially to Reade, Collin, Dave and their families. If there is any additional support I can provide, please contact me. LIMom..."Blog Hooligan" |
| 138 | Sheryl Fowler | Dr. Brodhead has repeatedly stated that this case should be filtered through the justice system, which is finally revealing the truth. It's tragic that Dr. Brodhead did not give this advantage to Coach Pressler, but instead tried, convicted and fired him without any semblance of due process and ignoring the report from his own committee. This man does not have the character to lead a university such as Duke. |

You have my full support. Dr. Brodhead must step up and take a leadership position in this matter, he must publicly acknowledge his errors of the past, and he must make meaningful and just reparations to those on the Lacrosse team, Coach Pressler, and others in the extended Duke community he has injured by his actions. |

| 147 | Jere Brophy | It is with great sadness that I watch events unfold. I do not want the university to forget the actions (stripper party) that precipitated the charges were vulgar, coarse and obnoxious.
I also wish the university to diffuse the tension between academics and athletics. Clearly a faculty committee investigation and report is insufficient. |
| 148 | Betty A. Abblitt | I have never been more embarassed by Duke and their unforgivable treatement of the boys on the Lacrosse team, their coach and the 3 boys falsely accused. The lack of backbone to stand behind their students and coaching staff until ALL facts were presented is in its own way criminal. Everyone I know in Atlanta who has watched the case unfold thinks Duke will be lucky if the families of the boys who have been so mistreated do not sue the University. The team had such horrible support and guidence. It makes parents of all athletes question the type of university or college they would allow their students to attend. I think this could hurt Duke's recruiting process. |
