Lawrence BlackwellThe real problem revealed by these events is not the corruption of law enforcement in Durham but rather the disgusting state of faculty (G88)standards at Duke. We a stronger petition than this to clean that up.
WALTER E ECK MDThe work of KC in Durham in Wonderland and the Petition of the Economics Department are clarifying. The Group of 88 continue to defy moral and ethical integrity and values at Duke University. How long must Duke students "suffer fools" ? group

penny hughesIt's time to restore college campuses to fair, democratic, principled centers of learning. What has transpired on the Duke campus is a national disgrace. The public is sick and tired of the hijacking of higher education by politically radicalized faculties with their lame and self-serving political agendas.
Michael RitzAs a former "Staffer" Adj. and student (PA Program) i find Duke has changed a lot since i was there in the 70's.. What a shame...

david bergerI became particularly sensitized to this case through the blog of Prof. KC Johnson, who is my colleague at Brooklyn College. While the practice of inviting strippers to perform for students is a symptom of a deplorable collegiate (and wider) culture, that culture has become so widespread that such behavior can no longer be subjected to sanctions in most universities. I wish that this were not so. Nonetheless, what has happened to these manifestly innocent students, who appear to be generally fine young men, is an inexcusable horror, and both the abuse of power by a criminal District Attorney and the acceptance and encouragement of that behavior by many Duke faculty as well as outside organizations must be vigorously denounced and resisted.
Ralph LloydIt is a sad comentary that we are appending our names to sentiments expressed by such a small number of faculty.
Karen HixsonI hope this tragedy is soon behind these young men and their familes - the true victims in all of this.

AnonymousAs a mom, I can only imagine what the families of these falsely indicted young men are going through. The "world" now knows the vile corruption of of the Durham DA's office and the innocence of the LAX players. There is no turning back. Justice will be served.

Sheila BarberTo the families: May God give you the strength to make it through this and the faith to know He is with you. I admire your tenacity to stand up for "true" justice.

David D. GroveThe actions of the Duke administration and certain of its faculty have covered the institution with shamed this great institution.
Athen BaxterThe people of Durham and North Carolina should be ashamed of the way these young men were treated. The police and prosecutor are clearly corrupt and the faculty of Duke are hostile to the people who pay their wages. Time to clean house in Durham.

Debra J CoffeyI support the Duke lacrosse players against those who would use them to gain notoriety for their cause or just plain money. I can't condemn the 88 enough for their lack of support for their students or the administration for allowing these teachers to hold positions at Duke.
