If the First Nations Technical Institute is indeed an accredited College, and open to off reserve Ontarian's, should it not have the same right to funding as those off reserve

It would be a great loss to the community if they have to close the doors. The government needs to do the right thing and provide the funding for this institute and at the same level as mainstream post secondary institutions are provided.

Name: James Heffernan on Jan 22, 2008Comments: Mr. McGuinty - please fund FNTI in the same manner as other colleges and universities in the province of Ontario. FNTI is a truly amazing institute with a tremendous potential to positively impact on the lives of so many people across the province. Don't let this potential go unrealized. Act now!

Name: Roronhiakewen Dr. Dan Longboat on Jan 22, 2008Comments: I am appalled at the political ping-pong game between the province and the federal governments regarding Aboriginal Education in the province of Ontario. Step up to the plate and show real leadership in supporting Aboriginal Institutes in making a difference in Education for Aboriginal Peoples. Think of the continued costs to the tax payers of not addressing this critical need. Now is your chance to take a proactive role and do the right thing!
