Judy PokrasI urge the DNC to allow the votes cast in Florida's 2008 Democratic presidential primary. We voters had nothing to do with the Republicans in Florida who moved the date up. It is simply not fair to punish us! We deserve to be heard!FL

Jada KavanaghHow many times are we, as a country, going to tell Floridians that their votes don't count? It happened 8 years ago, lets not let it happen again!MI
Jennifer EckhoffIf the people are not allowed to be addressed during a campaign and are not given fair opportunity for vote, then how will the delegates know the will of the people. If the delegates are not given fair opportunity to participate, then the fairness of our entire voting procedure is in jeopardy. This also seems to border on violation of our rights as stated in the constitution.NJ

Donna FolksAs a registered Democrat for over 30 years, I cannot believe that the DNC would nullify my vote. If they are not interested in having my vote, then I will have to seriously consider withdrawing it in future elections.FL

Hedy EckertI never though that I would live to see voters dis infranchised by the any entity. We are losing our rights in this country and, as citizens we better begin to fight for them. I am surprised it took NOW this long to act. I called the Fdc and NDC weeks ago about this.FL
AnonymousRules are only guidlines for an organization. When one is broken, as is usual in many organizations, the rule must be evaluated to see if ramification is the proper response, or if the rule needs to be modified or thrown out. I cannot see the DNC putting the rights of the voters in Florida aside so they can enforce a rule that the voters had no choice over, especially when they have the power to modify the rule. If the DNC disenfranchises the voters in Florida, I know it will disenfranchise me with the Democratic Party.AZ
Marlene CookseyMillions of Floridians voted. They should have a voice in this election!AZ
Anthony R FlorezIt seems hypocritical that after all the complaints by the Democratic party over the disenfranchised Florida voters in previous presidential general elections, that they (the Democratic party) would then decide to disenfranchise all of the Democratic Florida voters in the Democratic primary election. How can this injustice be justified? If we are to be the party of change, shouldn’t it be change for the better? Shouldn’t we be the party of unity and inclusion? How can we complain about the Republicans attempt to disenfranchise voters when we are guilty of it as well? I do not see how I can continue to support the Democratic party when they choose to act no differently than the Republican party.AZ

Nancy O'ConnorRestore the delegates to the winner of the Florida election. Hillary Clinton she won them and deserves to add them to her delegate column.AZ
Kami MulderThe voters are being punished this is NOT right. Seat the delegates, how can this be legal anyway? The candidate and the voters are literally being screwed over.OR
Aida LeePlease seat Florida delegates.FL
Alex DarcyEVERY VOTE COUNTS!!! All the FL and MI delegates should have the seat at 2008 Dem ConventionCT
Janice WangDear Chairman Dean, Once again, the Republicans have done their best to make a mockery of the Democratic party. In Florida, we saw a record number of votes cast. These Florida voters are being stripped of the voting rights that are clearly outlined in the DNC Charter because an overwhelming Republican majority legislature passed HB537 which changed the Florida primary date. The media and our own candidates are referring to this terrible situation as a 'beauty contest' and 'meaningless'. I believe our nominee will need the enthusiastic support of Democrats around the country to win the general election, and so I am writing to support the seating of delegates from Florida. The stakes have risen again. How much do you believe these Floridian will endure before they turn their back on the Democratic party, entirely? All Democratic candidate were actively listed on the ballots of the Democratic primary. Therefore, the ballots cast expressed the will of the people. Having a revote would be financially impossible and a caucus solution would not be reflective of the original voting preferences. In fact, any solution that falls short of sitting the existing delegates is completely unfair and anti-democratic. Historically, banned delegates have always been reinstated to maintain party unity. I understand the political implications make this a difficult decision, but I ask that you let us continue to be the party of unity. Let us not turn our back on fellow Democrats, but rather have all voices heard. Let us elect a President of all 50 United States and Territories. Let us maintain the commitment to expanding opportunity for every American. Respectfully, Janice WangNY
