Gillig Hybrid Buses save over time in fuel consumption and will make FAMU already the greenest low energy campus among HBCUs. Fourty foot buses seat larger capacities and are more suitable for the Venom 1, while the thirty six  foot buses take smaller capacities and are better for longer routes like the Venom 2. The cost can be up to 3.3 million but well worth it. Although this is costly upfront good maintanance will reduce the cost to opperate the systen and allow for turther expansion.
This being so, Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU) Board of Trustees (BOT) should provide funding to purchase six  new Star Metro venom buses and make these routes more timely and functional. Instead of venom 1 going to palmetto, make it go from “The Set” to FAMU Way, Wannish Way and Osceola Street and continue this circuit until 12:00 AM using three  large fourty foot  buses.  Finally, use three thirty six foot buses for the Venom 2 and have it go to Palmetto and other apartments on the southern end of Monroe St and S Adams St. With this in place the wait time can be cut from twenty min to 45 minouts per cirulation to twenty minoutes for the Venom 2 and 10 minoutes for the Venom 1.
