The new Flickr design layout this month, May 2013, has created monumental rage, insulted and confusion for the vast majority of Flickr members. The rage is over being neither consulted nor informed. After all, our membership fees and involvement are a significant contributor to the success of Flickr. The insult is over being treated as, to quote Yahoo's CEO, "not professional". Pardon me? flickr is abounding with artists, students of life and photography, graphics designers and professionals of all kinds. The confusion is over lost functions, messy photo streams, and the precipitous move of Flickr to inflict a bug-filled new format on the members they appear not to appreciate. We are a flickr community and you shouldn't change that. Keep flickr and fix the problems we are having. We love sharing our photographs. It wasn't appropriate to call our work, "not professional". There are hundreds of thousands of Flickr users that have used social media to express their great and incredible talents.
