Comments: Fuck learning foreign language. All of those immagrants should learn ENGLISH. They except us to learn there language when we come over here, but when we go over there we have to speak there language. It deosn't make sence. Children need to learn what is NEEDED, not how to communicate with people who -are too stupid to learn english yet live in our country-

Comments: I'm a Brit who wasn't taught a foreign language until I started secondary school at age 11, and I think it puts us at a disadvantage from the rest of the world community.

Comments: sadly I only know english and a few spanish words and I am going nito jounior high- Elementary schools need to be tought basic foregin language spanish- and close contries ecuas eI will suffer from not being taught spanish at a young age- inaginine what the next three generations will suffer from not having a foregin language taught to them I STRONGLY believe that a foregin language should be taught in 2nd-3rd grade while the brain's language development section is still getting information- I cannot explain the well but i believe that they are called sinapses(sp) that help with language and over time they aernt there anymore so its harder to learn a foregin langugae-please excuse me if i have made a mistake in the brian information i am only 12 but I am 99.9999% sure that is correct

Comments: In an international world today we need to have an international mindset. Just because English is one of the most important languages, and because we already know it, does not mean that we should neglect learning the languages that others speak.

Comments: I have tried to find a tutor for my two small children and have resorted to educational softwear and digging out my old german books, we need Foreign Language instruction for our children. Look at europe they lear multiple languages at a young age. We are far behind but it wouldnt take much effort in our schools to start to catch up
