Name: Mary Ann Radscheid on Apr 13, 2012Comments: One only needs to look at the number of killings that have occurred thus far, which in the end were not accepted as a logical and legal reason to fall under this law, even though the murderer claimed their right to use it, should send up a red flag that this is nothing more than cowboy vigilantism. This is a very bad law for many reasons.Flag

Name: Joshua Kimber on Apr 16, 2012Comments: There are more guns in this country than people. In the UK, the police have no need to even carry guns. That says a lot about the United States. People worldwide must look at the United States as the land of savages. Self defense crimes have tripled since this law's inception. The stand your ground and gun laws have to be change. The constitution says you have the right to bear arms, and people want to hold on to that law, but they fail to realize that the constitution can be changed. It has gone through many changes. I guess people just don't know the definition of an "amendment". If the constitution was never changed, black people would still be considered three fifths of a man. You could argue that some people still believe that, due to the many Travon Martin situations that constantly happen in this country, whether it be murder, or the disregard to follow up on a murdered black victim's killer. So I will sign this petition and support whatever form of media that keeps attention on this case. Keep the fire burning. If a fire had not been lit, then this now judicial process dealing with the Travon Martin case would not have occurred, so don't listen to those that are upset with the firestorm. People like to say that starting a fire and keeping it lit causes more problems. They just want people to calm down and shut up, not realizing that when you quiet down, the same problem keeps on happening. Forget them. Keep putting they asses on a gas stove. People will make changes when their flesh starts burning.Flag
