Every August, fans of the NFL start rearranging their schedules around the newest installment of EA Sports' Madden football. I, too, join the ranks of those who are destined to settle for less.
In past years, I was, at the very least, pissed. Every time I would play a game, some glitch would stop me from winning the game. Determined that each glitch would not happen again, I would pick up the controller and watch, broken-heartedly, as I would get the royal screw job from John Madden himself. With the release of the newest game, Madden 08, I figured it would be at a minimum, bearable.
It turns out, the $60 I paid for this was a complete waste. It seems like EA collects their paycheck once it's all said and done, and when it comes time for the next installment, they boot up their computers with the previous game's blueprints and just update the rosters. I am absolutely TIRED of settling for less. EA can get away with having the 360 version of Madden 08 running at, supposedly, 60 frames per second, while the PS3 runs at, supposedly, (and a high estimate) 30 frames per second. This is an outrage.
A company that allows itself to screw over its customers while still getting millions of dollars falls under the "Con Artist" category. To prove that EA is not deaf, and that they really do care about their customers, EA MUST MUST MUST fix this game.
I cannot continue to put money into their pockets if all I get in return is a sloppy, rough, and damn annoying game.
If you agree, or at least see some truth in what I have said, I would appreciate a signature. If this petition never reaches EA, I hope it is because they fixed the game and not because they just do not listen.
