If you live at The Parc, you've probably had the unsavory experience of dealing with the poor parking situation on the apartment grounds. If you're unlucky, you might have had your car towed by the sham of a company, Wyatt's Towing, or you know someone who has.
This petition has two goals. First, the current parking pass process is a poorly-structured, inconvenient, and unrealistic process to follow. As is, visits from non-residents must be planned in advance, and a visitor'spermit must be obtained during leasing office hours, otherwise they risk their car being towed after 8pm. So if a friend or family member comes over after the office closes, there is no safe and legal place to park his/her car. It is unrealistic for The Parc to require residents to coordinate all visits ahead of time.This petition requests that Parc management seriously reevaluates how parking is set up and changes it for the better.
Secondly, Wyatt's Towing is an unscrupulous company that should have no involvement in our community whatsoever. The Parc claims they use the towing service for the sake of the residents, but I'd venture a guess that residents are much more often negatively affected by the towing company than served and helped by them. I would personally rather deal with parking issues over worrying about my car being unfairly towed. FYI, if your car is towed to their lot north of Denver, it'll cost you at least $240 to get it back. Let's get rid of this shady company that is only out to take our money from us.
The Parc can surely say that all of this has been agreed to in our leases, but we have the right to ask for change. Bad policies are bad policies, and they should be changed regardless of their validity. A decent property manager should be willing to listen to the concerns of residents and act in their best interests.
