We respectfully ask CBS to grant their Digital Division the time and funding to fix Season 2 of Star Trek The Next Generation on bluray, bringing it up to the quality established by CBS-Digital in Season 1.

Background:

On December 4th, 2012, Star Trek The Next Generation Season 2 was released on bluray. To the dismay of many, Season 2 did not uphold the high quality established by CBS-Digital in Season 1 as it was outsourced to an outside company.

Some of the issues inherent in Season 2:

Clearly visible matte lines, blurry halos around heads and bodies in front of view screens, overuse of Digital Noise Reduction, mis-aligned lighting passes, distorted film elements, and poor color correction to name a few.

We sincerely hope CBS will take our request seriously.
