Name: Chris King on Feb 16, 2010City of residence: NavarreState: FLComments: We need to correct the Magnusen act and not reduce catch limits just based soley on weight. That means you can catch less, but if they are bigger, you have to reduce this years harvest and the number of fish is irrelevant. I get that there are better breeding weights, but the math isn't working out to accomodate other variables in the environment like more reefs and expanding commercial shares. The recreational guy gets what is left.Flag

Name: RG Schmidt on Feb 16, 2010City of residence: Crystal RiverState: FloridaComments: Last year, a statewide newspaper dedicated to sport fishing had to shut down due to lack of advertising revenue, after years of successful operation. This put a couple of dozen writers and more than 50 other people out of work. The last thing Florida's economy needs is something to stifle fishing, and its attendant revenue.Flag

There is more red snapper than ever before in my area of the gulf...we need a longer season for our business...Flag
